FAQs

How do I register for a class or event?
Just head over to the GCAAR class calendar, pick a class and follow the registration steps provided. Be sure to use you member number when registering for a class or event. If you are not a GCAAR member, click My Account at the top of the page, then click the link underneath the login boxes that reads “Non Members: Click Here to Register for Classes.” Please note that all classes and events are currently being offered virtually via Zoom.

Where can I find the courses I’ve taken at GCAAR?
Go to gcaar.com, log on using your member number and password (your last name, all lowercase), go to My Account and click Education History.

Where can I find the licensing requirements for DC, MD and VA?
Right here.

What do I do to obtain my license in DC through reciprocity?
GCAAR offers the required DC Fair Housing course that qualifies you to sit for the DC Law portion of the test. However, please contact the DC Commission at (202) 442-4340 for specific details on obtaining a DC license through reciprocity.

Do you offer online courses?
Yes, we have multiple , on-demand online courses that we offer via a third-party vendor. These offerings include all required classes, elective classes and a 15-hour renewal package. More information is available on the GCAAR website.
