DCAR Leadership Institute is designed to foster future volunteer leaders. In order for volunteers to reach their full potential, there needs be an understanding of what it means to be a volunteer leader. The DCAR Leadership Institute offers the education needed to help nurture success.
The class offers an array of training focusing on the following areas:
- REALTOR® Association Structure
- Interpersonal Skills
- Conflict Resolution
- Public Policy
- Community Service
- Public Speaking
- Effective Meetings
- Time Management
- Strategic Planning
What does a volunteer leader do? DCAR volunteers assist with the development of polices and programs that benefit REALTOR® members. Volunteer leaders play an integral role in ensuring that members have the tools and support needed to succeed in today’s ever-changing field. And they play an important role in helping to shape public policy and accentuate the positive impact REALTORS® have on our
DCAR volunteers play a variety of roles including participating on committees, serving on the Board of Directors, and representing DCAR and the real estate industry in the community. Volunteers grow both personally and professionally as a result of their volunteer experience.
The Leadership Institute is held once per year in the fall. All DCAR members are welcome to apply, and can do so by emailing Bryan Frantz at email@example.com.
Participation is limited. Participants are required to attend all sessions. A selection committee reviews all applications.
