DCAR works hard to create a positive impact in the District of Columbia – not only on real estate, but within the community as a whole. We urge our members to help us create a better environment for REALTORS® by providing feedback via policy surveys and calls to action. These opportunities to speak up are vital to our success, and it’s the best way to make our voice heard at the Wilson Building.

Not only do we represent more than 2,800 REALTORS® in DC, we also stand up for homeowners, buyers, sellers, tenants and developers, and our actions impact a wide variety of people and organizations in and around the District. It’s why we truly are the voice of real estate in the District of Columbia.

But it’s not just about working for and with real estate professionals; as an Association, we work to help the entirety of the community we live and work in. Sometimes that means putting in hours at legislative meetings. Other times, it means swapping suits for sweats and giving back to the community.

From working with local activists to support less fortunate DC residents to donating time and energy, and occasionally goods, to those in need, DCAR and its members play an active part as philanthropists and volunteers in order to ensure citizens have a chance to succeed in the District.
